An ancient evil has been unleashed that has already claimed the life of Lara Croft and left NYPD detective Sara Pezzini desperately looking for answers. All hope seems lost as the conclusion of the Endgame crossover looks also like the end of mankind! But a new team has arrived on the scene, from another place and time. What has happened so far?
TOMB RAIDER #25 (ENDGAME #1): Knowing she may need some help on a case Sara Pezzini puts in a call to her old friend, archaeologist and adventurer, Lara Croft. As Lara begins her investigation she is attacked, but her enemy's essence escapes and leads her on a chase through N.Y.C. In an underground cavern far beneath the city. Lara is attacked by a mysterious being which permeates Lara with "The Weave". Now possessed by this strange energy, Lara rampages through the streets of New York where Sara and the Witchblade are the only ones who can stop her.

WITCHBLADE #60 (ENDGAME #2): Lara and Sara face each other in the streets of New York. Lara has become overwhelmed by the power of The Weave, and after being fired upon by the N.Y.P.D., unleashes and attack that leaves only Sara and the Witchblade standing in her way. During the battle Lara struggles with herself for control, in the end consumed by the malevolent power of The Weave she abducts Sara and takes her deep beneath the city, where she comes face to face with a mysterious being. In the presence of Sara and The Witchblade the being is freed, power swirls around and Sara must determine what she can do to face this menace and free Lara from The Weaves control.
