The final confrontation and climax to the mystery of the Dream Spear in the Maori Dreaming Underworld. Lara finally confronts Kagan, the man who stole the Maori's influential Dream Spear and learns more about herself in the process. It seems that Lara and Kagan have been fighting the same battle for longer than she would ever have dreamed. And Lara's decision must be between killing Kagan or changing Known Fate to start a new destiny.

Lara Croft, archaeologist and adventurer, is searching for a mysterious spear that was stolen from a British museum. She has been told that in order to retrieve the spear she will have to travel to the underworld of The Maori. Here, along with her guide Akio, she discovers an old friend thought to be long dead. After a battle with spirits sent by Kagan to stop the trio, Lara ventures out alone to get a mysterious weapon of power. However, just as Lara takes possession of the weapon, an invisible sword, disaster strikes. Kagan returns with the Dream Spear, cutting of Lara's escape, and knocking Myles into a dark abyss in the process.
