Part3:
Lara finds out that Carver is the one who pulled her into the darkness. He just wanted to save her. Chase kisses Lara and she gets angry. Then they flee from the arrows of the attackers. In a storage room Lara has to fight them off with her guns. Outside two attackers spread petrol. Chase and Lara have to flee from the fire onto the roof and a immediately attacked by arrows again. They use Chase's belt with a rope to slide down. Lara drops into a truck with pigs.
Lara and Chase are back in the hotel. A police officer comes by, he tells Lara that there was no sign of Compton's corpse. After a heated discussion Chase shows Lara a message in a bottle he has found on the sunken ship.
It tells the story of one of the sailors. He thinks that the hole crew is getting mad and kills each other. He says he wants to get away and is taking the treasure with him. The guy was saved by an English ship. The ship disappeared, but there was the legend of an English ship arriving in china. On board was a French sailor looking for the key.
Chase claims to know where that key is and he says that this is the place where the mask is hidden. He leads Lara there. Lara finds a stone with strange markings. Every marking consists of three parts. As the sailors name was Henri Triplette, she guesses that this is a clue. They open a door and drop into depth.
[Remark: Continued in Part4.]

Review:
With this comic a very interesting character "Chase Carver" is introduced. He will be following Lara around in the next couple of issues. It's never quiet clear where he stands.
