official Description:
The four-part "Pieces of Zero" kicks into high gear as Lara Croft suddenly realizes that it's no longer matters of history which consume her, but matters of the future. Is it possible for the world of tomorrow to be unravelled by a single object left here by a time traveller? Lara races against the ultimate clock--infinity itself--as she finally comes face to face with the incredibly beautiful and mysterious Caronne!

Intro from the Comic:
While investigating the disappearance of cast members from the reality show "The Last" in Africa, Lara is pulled underground by an unknown enemy. While her companions sleep, a mysterious shape shifter that assumes her form replaces Lara. This imposter leads Lara's travelling companions to a large underground cavern. While the group waits for the person they believe to be Lara Croft to return from investigating the cave, a man named Samuel Quill comes out of the jungle to join the group. Mr. Quill, believing that Lara is in danger from something he calls the Avatar, leads the group into the cavern, in an attempt to help. The shape shifter returns to the group in time to attack Quill, claiming him to be the dangerous Avatar, and driving him away by shooting Quill in the shoulder. Meanwhile the real Lara Croft hangs captive from the roof in another part of the cavern, surrounded by the skeletal remains of the TV cast, in the presence of her captor, a creature unknown to man.
