Ganges Hints:

(Important: Lara cannot swim in the river. Jumping into the water means certain death! Either the piranhas will kill Lara or she will drown. She can't get out at the end. So save your game before you cross the river. Lara has to use the quad bike often. To leave the quad bike press the roll-button=End/Circle and the direction.)

At the Ganges

Run to the left. There you'll find a quad bike.

Goodies:
Right of it is an opening in the wall. Climb in. Collect MP5-Ammo and flares.

Now get onto the quad bike and take it to the other end of the crevice.

Secret 1:
Get down and walk towards the edge. Hang from the ledge and climb over to the ladder on the left. Climb down onto the platform. Make a running jump to the next platform on the right. Turn to the left side and make a running jump to the next platform. Grab the ledge and climb up. Turn left, make another running jump and grab the next ledge. Follow the platform and position yourself on the left side. Make another jump to the next platform. Turn left and cross the river again. Turn and jump towards the last platform at the entrance. Enter the room. Turn left. Pull yourself onto the sloped block. Lara will slide down. Jump to get to the next slope. Jump again, then jump once more and grab the ledge. Pull yourself up. Climb higher up. Collect the large medipack. Return to the previous platform. Continue to the right and collect the shotgun ammo. (Here you'll find the shotgun itself if you haven't gotten it so far.) Climb back down carefully. Return to the platform in the river. Take the whole way back to the quad bike.

Get onto the quad bike.

Quad Bike Jumps

Take the quad bike over the ramp. (Picture!) This will get you to the other side of the river. Follow the path there. Drive around the first pit.

Secret 2:
Park the quad bike and walk towards the next pit. Climb down the ladder. Collect the shotgun ammo, the flares and a large medipack. Climb back up and return to the quad bike.

Take the quad bike at full speed over the ramp at the left side of the pit. Follow the path to the left. Drive up the ramp. Jump over the first pit. Park the quad bike.

Door Trigger

Walk up the next ramp. At the top turn left and make a running jump to the opening in the wall. Pull yourself in. Shoot the cobra. Climb up. Crawl into the next passage. Climb up again. Jump over the pit. Shoot the two monkeys. Collect the crystal. Use the button left of the gate. Exit through the open gate. (You are now on the other side of the big ramp.) Return to the other side and get back onto the quad bike. Hit the hand brake of the quad bike and speed it up. Now loosen the hand brake and take the quad bike at full speed over the gap. Enter the passage.

(Now you have two possibilities for your further journey. One of them contains all secrets. The other one skips one secret.)

Alternative 1 with all Secrets

Collect the crystal. Drive up to the left. Jump over the first pit. Carefully drive around the second one. Turn into the passage on the right. Get around the pit in the middle.

Stone Bridge

At the end, drive the quad bike down to the left and onto the bridge.

Goodies:
Park the quad bike there. Turn right and jump onto the platform on the side. Collect the Desert Eagle Ammo.

Secret 3:
Crawl into the gap. Collect the arrows for the harpoon gun, the crystal and the Uzi Ammo. Crawl back out.

Jump back towards the bridge and return to the quad bike.

Take the quad bike over the next gap. Park it at the next crossing.

At the Crossing Right

Leave the quad bike and run to the right.

Goodies:
Run towards the tree. Jump around it to the right. Make a running jump towards the ledge in the cliff. Pull up. Collect the Uzi Ammo. Shoot the two vultures. Make a running jump back towards the tree and grab the ledge.

(If you follow the path further, you'll find a couple of rocks from where you can have a look at the surroundings and some goodies. You can also see a big ramp above.) Return to the quad bike.

At the Crossing Left

Take the quad bike into the passage on the left. Drive up the narrow ramp on the back wall. Turn right, then left to get around the corner. Turn left again and then right once more. After another turn to the right, you'll come to two gaps in the ramp. Position the quad bike facing towards the ramp. Pull the hand brake, now speed up, release the brake and speed over the two gaps.

After the Quad Bike Jumps

Park the quad bike on the other side.

Goodies:
Go towards the crevice on the left. Climb onto the ladder. Shimmy left. Now climb down and into the alcove on the right. Shoot the cobra. Then collect the Desert Eagle Ammo. Climb the ladder back up.

Collect the crystal. Now return to the quad bike. Take the bike to the left and speed over the next gap.

Canyon with Vultures

Get off the quad bike on the other side. Climb down on the left side.

Secret 4:
Make a standing jump onto the next platform. Climb up. Shoot the two vultures. Jump towards the niche in the rocks on the right. Make a running jump towards the platform at the wall opposite. Grab the ledge and pull up. Run to the right. At the end, turn right and make a running jump to the slope there. Lara has to slide down forwards. Jump while sliding and grab the ledge. Pull up and crawl into the gap. Collect the Desert Eagle Ammo and the small medipack. Crawl back out. Turn right. Now make a running jump towards the sloped block on the wall at the back. Jump while sliding to get back to the long walkway there. Jump back into the gap between the rocks on the left. Continue onto the platform on the right wall.

Climb down. Run into the green passage. Shoot the two monkeys and collect the crystal.

At the Waterfall

Run into the passage on the left. There you'll find a waterfall. Climb along the cliff. From the end, make a running jump towards the platform on the left. Shoot the three vultures.

Goodies:
Continue onto the little platform at the back wall. Lower yourself backwards onto the next platform. Collect the MP5 ammo and the ammo for the harpoon gun.

Secret 5:
Make a running jump towards the gap in the left wall. Grab it and shimmy right. At the end, climb up into the chamber. Collect the arrows, the shotgun ammo and the crystal. Crawl back out.

Jump into the water. Swim towards the waterfall. Climb onto the block on the right. Climb up. Turn left and climb higher up. Enter the passage on the right. Jump down and follow the passage.

Alternative 2 - Skipping one Secret

Turn right at the next crossing. Collect the crystal. Speed down the hill. Take the quad bike at full speed over the river. Park it there. Shoot the monkey and collect the small medipack. (The monkey will try to steal it.)

Artefact 1

Now take the quad bike down into the passage. At the end, turn to the left. Park the quad bike again. Run to the top. Shoot the two monkeys.

Goodies:
Climb into the alcove on the left. Collect the flares and the Uzi Ammo in the chamber behind. Climb back out.

Run back down, but before you slide down climb into the alcove on the right. This alcove is hidden well. Follow the path down. Shoot the cobra behind the leaves. Crawl into the gap on the right and collect the artefact. Crawl back out. Return to the quad bike and shoot another monkey.

Artefact Holes

Behind the first ledge, you'll find another alcove on the right. Climb in and on the other side down into the chamber. Shoot the monkey on the left. Collect the small medipack in the window. Now follow the path and shoot another monkey. Collect the Shotgun Shells in the niche on the left. As soon as you've collected them, another monkey will attack. Shoot it as well. Follow the path to the left. (You might notice the artefact holes in the windows alcoves on both sides. If you want to you can use the first one already.) At the end of the passage, you'll find another opening in the ceiling.

Yard/Mud and Trees

Climb out and shoot another monkey. Turn left to get into the yard. (Do not drop into the mud pit on the right.) Climb the steps at the back of the chamber. Collect the crystal on the balcony on the left. Return to the tree at the entrance. Next to the pit, you'll find a slightly elevated root. Stand on it looking into the yard. Make a sidesault onto the higher slope next to the pit. Jump while sliding and grab the ledge. Pull up.

Artefact 2

From this platform, make a running jump over to the branch. Jump into the window alcove. Continue onto the next branch. Shoot the monkey on the branch to your left. Then jump onto this branch. Run along the wall and into the chamber. Shoot the two monkeys in the next chamber on the left. Pick the Artefact from the pedestal. On the right you'll find some grenades.

Switch for second Gate

Run back into the first chamber. Look down into the hole. Lower yourself down where no torch is. Shoot the monkey. Run past the torch. (Crawl to be on the safe side.) Shoot another monkey. Follow the chamber to the left. Use the switch you'll find there. (This will open the big gate behind the mud pit.) Shoot another monkey. Step outside and shoot three more monkeys.

Way Back

Climb onto the blocks behind the tree and from there back onto the tree itself. Get back through the window and down on the other side. Drop into the passage again and return to the alcoves with the artefact holes. Use the two artefacts to open the gate. Climb back out and return to the quad bike.

Driving through the Gates

Take the quad bike up the hill and through the passage on the right. Drive through the open gate. Follow the ramp, but be careful not to drop into the mud pit. Take the quad bike at full speed up the ramp and through the open gate.

Goodies:
Park the quad bike here. Position on the left or the right corner of the big alcove. Jump up and grab the ledge. Pull yourself up. Collect the Shotgun-Ammo. Jump back down and return to the quad bike.

Take the quad bike around the tree and into the passage. Turn right to get into the green passage and right again, to return to the river.

Getting over the River

Overrun the two monkeys.

Goodies:
Park the quad bike. Run towards the tree on the right. Make a running jump onto the root in the water. From there carefully continue to the next smaller root on the right. Position so that Lara has enough space to make a running jump. (In the left corner, facing slightly right.) Start running, jump at the edge, while in the air press to the left and action to grab the ledge. Pull yourself up and collect the harpoon gun ammo and the Uzi-Ammo. Jump back to the smaller root, from there continue onto the bigger and back to the shore.

Now take the quad bike at full speed over the river. Collect the crystal and overrun the two monkeys.

Secret 4:
Run towards the back of the next yard. On the right side, you can climb up the rocks on your left. Turn around. Make a standing jump onto the next platform. Climb up. Shoot the two vultures. Jump towards the niche in the rocks on the right. Make a running jump towards the platform at the wall opposite. Grab the ledge and pull up. Run to the right. At the end turn right and make a running jump to the slope there. Lara has to slide down forwards. Jump while sliding and grab the ledge. Pull up and crawl into the gap. Collect the Desert Eagle Ammo and the small medipack. Crawl back out. Turn right. Now make a running jump towards the sloped block on the wall at the back. Jump while sliding to get back to the long walkway there. Jump back into the gap between the rocks on the left. Continue onto the platform on the right wall.

Drop back down and return to the passage.

At the Waterfall

Run into the passage on the left. There you'll find a waterfall. Climb along the cliff. From the end. make a running jump towards the platform on the left. Shoot the three vultures.

Continue onto the little platform at the back wall. Lower yourself backwards onto the next platform. Collect the MP5-Ammo and the harpoon gun ammo.
