Training Level - Parisian Alley
(The Angel of Darkness Walkthrough by Nick the Rogue)

This walkthrough was send in by Nick the Rogue, thanks very much, Nick
Lara'll give you control tips whenever she nears something, so pay attention and try and refrain from pressing ay buttons when she speaks.
In the first alley after the cut scene, you can go right or left... to the right a dog barks at you in annoyance and a locked gate bars your way. To the left lies a candy bar in a door alcove and a dumpster you can stand upon. Follow Lara's directions and climb up dumpster, then climb the ledge. Walk to the edge of the ledge and jump forward.
Follow the walkway around until you find a ladder. Climb the ladder and walk around to the left on the landing. Ignore the window for now (unless you want to do some exploring... we'll come back to it later) and climb the second ladder just to its left.
Lara speaks about a larger gap to jump, but don't follow her guide until you've picked up the Doubloons that are shining on the fire escape to the left of the gap. With the coins in hand, walk up to the ledge and forward jump, making sure to hold action in mid-air so you grab onto the ledge (as a fall will sap most of your health... if not kill you). Pull yourself up and follow the ledge to the right until Lara tells you how to hop jump to the next platform around the corner.
After hopping (such a cute little bunny), make your way to the pipe and climb it. At the top, Lara will grab onto the ledge. You'll want to shimmy to the right, but be quick as her strength will be fading at this point. Drop onto the roof (just like she tells you) to regain your strength, then walk your way to the other corner. There's a bit of shimmying we'll have to do to get to the level above.
Jump and grab on to the ledge furthest from where you came via the pipe and shimmy around the corner (smooth moves Lara) and continue around until you get to the break in the guardrail. Pull yourself up and explore the rooftop. Lara will see a shed she can bust if only she had the right equipment. Guess what? That's next.
Head to the barrel in the corner farthest from your entry point and follow Lara's instructions to pull it from its current home. Completing that, walk to the ledge and hang down. On the landing below is a Crowbar we so desperately (well, for secrets) need. Jump back up and grab the ledge, heading to the tool shed. Use the crowbar on the door and retrieve the weapon inside the cabinet (sadly, no bullets yet).
Exit the shed and peel off to the left, heading to where you first got on the roof. There are two ways to go about this, the easy way and the hard way. The hard way is more fun, so I'll give it to you first
.THE HARD WAY
Hang down from the gap in the rail and shimmy back over to the rest roof, then shimmy over to the pipe and down. Hop back over the gap and walk to the rail at the opposite end of the ledge. Lara will give you her rail tutorial, though I just jumped the bloody thing. Pick up the candy bar and back your way into the window well.
Note, this next jump is tricky. I landed it the first try, but I recommend saving before you attempt it as it's a long way down. Your goal is the railing just to the left of the first ladder you climbed (conveniently on the same floor as the window you passed up earlier).
From the back of the window well, take a running start and jump a few paces shy of the rail, making sure you press action again in mid-air to grab the rail at the end of your arc. If all goes well, you should be hanging quite comfortably (though a bit flustered from jumping so far a length... I know I was). Pull yourself up and make your way to the window.
THE EASY WAY
When you are hanging from that ledge at the broken rail on the rooftop, look at the view that is below you and to the left. You should see the resting ledge that is just around the corner and, below that, the little bit of fire escape where you found that set of doubloons waits patiently for you to drop down onto it.
Shimmy a bit to the left and press action to drop down. From there its just a short walk to the ladder, down one flight, and another short walk to the window.
Through the window is a dank kitchen with a large cabinet on the right and two searchable counter cabinets on the left. Some cash and a candy bar await you on the left and (with crowbar in hand) a valuable necklace lies in the large cabinet on the right. Walk towards the rear of the kitchen to spot another stash of doubloons lying out in the open, then exit the kitchen through the window.
Make the somewhat tedious journey back to the roof with the tool shed (but don't forget to pick up the candy bar that was over the rail if you didn't go back to the kitchen THE HARD WAY) and drop back down to the ledge where you got the crowbar.
Remember, Lara said something about her not being strong enough yet to shimmy left? Well, guess what? All that door jimmying and cabinet prying upped her guns a bit and now she can make it without plummeting to her doom. And just barely, too.
From the ledge, shimmy left. It's a long path and your strength bar will fall nearly to zero before you make it to the roof. I'd just keep going till the bar runs out as it does you no harm to let her fall to the ledge rather than risking a depth perception call on her true position over it. Especially since the camera pulls back rather far.
Once on the landing, Lara will tell you to go into stealth mode. Do it both for the practice and for the goon who's around the corner a ways. Edge your way to the corner and peek around. Don't worry, he faces away from you as long as you stay in stealth. Sneak down the walkway and spy the key. You can either take it and go back the way you came, or pass it by and try out your stealth kill on the baddie.
I opted for the stealth kill (hey, you need to learn sooner or later).
Sneak up behind the goon (yes, you should STILL be in stealth mode) and, once you get close enough, press the action button and be treated to a nice little takedown. Grab the key and unlock the gate that's back where you first fell down. Get on the ladder and head down to the street.
Congratulations, you've completed the training level and picked up all the items possible... well, all the items possible that I could see.
