Welcome to the walkthrough for the third Parisian level in Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness...

Lara starts the level facing a small platform with a ladder. Climb both and, when you reach the summit, Lara will notice that the wire will support her weight. Walk to the edge of the platform and jump, holding down the action button to grab the wire. Make your way across the wire quickly (as her strength will drain) and press the duck button when you reach the next building so you make it over the fixture blocking her progress. After you make it over the rail the was blocking, make sure you go back to regular hand over hand movement since the other takes more time.

Midway through the shimmy, that Helo you saw earlier will spot you and begin firing rounds. Once you make it to the platform, pick up the shiny bandages and turn left. There is a little roof ladder that Lara fast tips down directly to the right of the boxes when you face the slanting roof. Skip down it and when you've come to the edge (note: the walk fuction doesn't help you here, you must play it by ear) look over at the roof platform directly across from you. A standard forward jump/grab ledge will work. Pull yourself up, then duck and collect the bandages in the box.

You've got to be quick when manuvering in the box because the Parisian SWAT Helo will reposition itself to fire upon you. Remember, as long as you are on the rooftops, they will do everything in their power to hastle you.

There are two ways to go from here. You can either brave the Helo's fire (The Hard Way) to pick up another set of Doubloons (for secret status, I would imagine) or plow on through (The Easy Way)

.

THE HARD WAY

It's really not hard at all, it just means you will have to risk a few gunshot wounds to get the extra set of doubloons. Once you've collected the bandages, manuver your way back to the ledge you climbed up from. Drop and hang from it, then let go, and drop and hang again. Fall to the walkway between buildings and bust down the door with a quick little tap of the action button. Run inside, out of the range of the Helo, and pick up the doubloons.

You might have noticed the shiny item on the ground far below when you were on that platform between buildings. Leave it for now as it would eat all but a sliver of health from a 100% bar. We'll get to it in a little bit.

Run around the corner and open the door you come to. The room contains a lovely view through its many broken panes as well as a conady bar on the counter straight ahead and a clip for the M-V9 on the floor (finally, some ammo for a weapon you HAVE). Make you way out the door to another walkway between buildings and pull the door open. Careful, that Helo is still making a nuisance of himself, isn't he?

Instead of going inside, take the ladder that is on the left back down to street level (makes it harder for the SWAT goons to hit you). Unfortunately, the bottom section of the ladder has fallen off and you must drop, but the loss in health is negligible (if you lose any at ALL, I couldn't tell the difference).

From the ladder, run left and around the corner towards a gate with a door in it. The gate gives you an action icon, but I couldn't figure a way through it. My guess is that it was one-way for if you fell on the other side of the gate somehow. Leave it. to the left of the gate is another alley where, at the very end of it, lies the shiny Large Medipack that we saw from that first platform/jump. Pick it up and head back to the ladder.

Past the fire drums that are shielding the broken ladder section, turn the corner and pick up another clip for the M-V9. Just beyond that should be a garage door that is partially open. If you want to try out your freshly acquired ammo (remember to actually LOAD the ammo in the weapons menu), Hop the fence past the garage door and pop a few into the Doberman. There's no real gain here so I imagine the PETA people wouldn't be amused, but it's nice to get a little practice in.

Back to the garage door. Duck and crawl under it to get inside the building, looking to the left to spy another Large Medipack. There's an old air conditioner on its side further in the warehouse that could let you run and jump to the next level up, but (once you've gotten there) Lara tells you she can't jump the gap yet (Rusty? Har-Har). Instead, take the pipe back up to the top level and go back out to the ladder. This time, we want to go UP.

Helo, people... be wary of him, but after you get to the top of the second ladder, he shuts off his search light and leaves you be. Out of ammo maybe?

From this vantage point, you can see every rooftop section you've been to. The first level roof with the water tower and tool shed, the second level's exterior, and all that lies behind and before you on this, the third level, can be seen. Enjoy the view, cause its almost over now.

Slide down the roof towards the now docile SWAT Helo and pick up the Health tabs you find at the bottom. Climb the ladder you find there and, at the top, walk to the edge directly opposite it. A standard forward jump should get you easily across the gap. Pick up the Doubloons that are off to the left and make your way to the next edge and... Cutscene!

Lara takes control back from you, her user, and makes a bold and risky move. Sit back and watch the nice little laugh/scare and prepare for the next level.

Congratulations, you've completed the third Parisian mission.
